Today's square card is inspired by sketch challenge over CAS Colours & Sketches. Please click the hyperlink to see the sketch challenge, then give it a go and create a card :) enjoy the inspiration!
To keep my card Clean And Simple (CAS) I only used two colours, Night of Navy & Daffodil Delight but I played with dimension a bit! & I realize actual firefly's are not yellow, but honestly when I see them in our yard I just see a glow of yellow, so that's what I tried to capture on this card.
*** The Trix ***
* Stamp three firefly's and their 'glow' from the Lighting The Way stamp set, #160491 with Daffodil Delight ink on a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" piece of Basic White cardstock.
* Stamp three more firefly's on a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut using the Lighting The Way Dies, #160496 ***Trix, yes the stamp is slightly offset from the details of the die, but that's what I think adds the first bit of dimension - a play of colour.
* Adhere the three die cut firefly's with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, #144108. ***Trix, before adhering with dimensionals stamp the 'glow' to the card layer - this adds the second bit of dimension.
* Stamp the sentiment with Night of Navy ink and cut out as close to the font as possible with Paper Snips, #103579. Adhere to the card layer with Mini Dimensionals. Adhere the card layer to a Thick Basic White 4" x 8" card base with glue.
