Pretty Pop-Ups & Dainty Delight Dies for a couple of challenges

Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card was inspired by the Colour Challenge over @ CAS Colours & Sketches & Kim Fee's beautiful card over @ Global Design Project.  Please click the hyperlinks to visit the blogs and prepare to be inspired!

The CASE the Designer Challenge #GDP384 challenges us to Copy And Selectively Edit using Kim's card as inspiration.  I love the bold black sentiment, and the swirl of flowers on the right of a circle.

The fabulous #CC&S506 Colour Challenge of using Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight & Parakeet Party says spring to me!  So naturally I needed to combine flowers, greenery and butterflies together.

***  The Trix  ***

*  Use the Pretty Pop-Ups Dies, #159179 to create a background - Die cut the circle on a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock and pop up the desired areas before adhering to the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Thick Basic White card base.

*  Layer up the colours - The Parakeet Party swag of greenery and the Highland Heather & Daffofdil Delight flowers all come from the Dainty Delight Dies, #160674.  Adhere with glue but pop some of the flowers up with dimensionals.

***Trix, add another layer of colour and sparkle by colouring Rhinestone Basic Jewels, #144220 with Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends and tuck them in around the flowers.

*  Create a bold sentiment - I love the font from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, #154542 stamped with Memento Black Ink and fussy cut out to give a bit of weight to the card.

  1. Love your card, Lesley. The way the die cut was left uncoloured to simply pop up draws your eye to the coloured flowers! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CC&S!
