Lovely Clover for #FF0129

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by the St.Patricks's Day Challenge over @ Festive Friday.  There's lots to choose from on this list.  I chose the top three Green, Gold & Clover.  Remember the inspiration is St.Patrick's but it doesn't have to be an actual St.Patricks Day card.  Please click the hyperlink or the image below to visit the challenge and then go make a fun card!

***  The Trix  ***

*  Create a simple colour scheme - one of my favourites is Soft Sea Foam and Gold.  The gold clover is embossed on Vellum, then cut out.  The sentiment is from the Lucky Clover stamp set, #160610 embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, #155555 then cut out with a Something Fancy label die, #160424 .

*  Use texture to create interest - create a 4" x 1 3/4" band of Soft Sea Foam embossed with the Raindrops Embossing Folder, #160554 to add subtle texture and layers when using a simple colour scheme.

Pretty Pop-Ups Watercoloured for #FMS576

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by Amy's Sketch over @ Freshly Made Sketches.  Amy describes her sketch as a loose collage along the diagonal.  I think it's an awesome sketch with so many possibilities.  Please click the hyperlink or the image below to visit their blog and enjoy the inspiration.

I've been playing with the Pretty Pop-Ups Dies, #159179.  Please click here to read yesterday's post using the circle as a background.  The single dies I used today can be placed anywhere on your project, look closely to see how only part of the die is cut.

***  The Trix  ***

*  Position the dies on  3 3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White cardstock as per the sketch and die cut out.

*  Use Watercolour Pencils, #141709 & #149014 to colour the section of the dies that will pop up.  Lightly move the colour with a Water Painter, #151298 and allow to dry.

***Trix, pop up the centres of the die cuts with the pick end of the Take a Pick™  #144107

*  Stamp the sentiment from the Something Fancy Stamp Set, #160416 with Memento Black Ink then adhere the Basic White Layer to a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Thick Basic White card base.

*  Embellish with gems of choice, I used a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, #158130 plus some retired Polished Dots to enhance the loose diagonal collage.

Pretty Pop-Ups & Dainty Delight Dies for a couple of challenges

Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card was inspired by the Colour Challenge over @ CAS Colours & Sketches & Kim Fee's beautiful card over @ Global Design Project.  Please click the hyperlinks to visit the blogs and prepare to be inspired!

The CASE the Designer Challenge #GDP384 challenges us to Copy And Selectively Edit using Kim's card as inspiration.  I love the bold black sentiment, and the swirl of flowers on the right of a circle.

The fabulous #CC&S506 Colour Challenge of using Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight & Parakeet Party says spring to me!  So naturally I needed to combine flowers, greenery and butterflies together.

***  The Trix  ***

*  Use the Pretty Pop-Ups Dies, #159179 to create a background - Die cut the circle on a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White cardstock and pop up the desired areas before adhering to the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Thick Basic White card base.

*  Layer up the colours - The Parakeet Party swag of greenery and the Highland Heather & Daffofdil Delight flowers all come from the Dainty Delight Dies, #160674.  Adhere with glue but pop some of the flowers up with dimensionals.

***Trix, add another layer of colour and sparkle by colouring Rhinestone Basic Jewels, #144220 with Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends and tuck them in around the flowers.

*  Create a bold sentiment - I love the font from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, #154542 stamped with Memento Black Ink and fussy cut out to give a bit of weight to the card.

***  Click here to shop and please remember to use the Monthly Host Code when your shopping cart is between $60 - $135 to receive a thank you gift from me!

Bunny Hugs for three challenges

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by 3 challenges.  The Retro Rubber Challenge inspired me to use an old favourite from 2007.  I grabbed this set because of the Easter Challenge over @ The Paper Players Challenge.  The colours came together because of the Color Challenge over @ TGIF Challenges.  Please use the hyperlinks to visit these blogs and find your inspiration!

***  The Trix  ***

*  I chose the diagonal line on the Retro Tic Tac Toe Challenge - Die Cut or Punch (I used both :)  Layers and My Choice - Colouring Tools!  I used a combo of Stampin' Blends Markers, a Blender Pen and Sponge Daubers, because I think we all need to use what we have!

*  The Blushing Bride 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base has a 4" x 5 1/4" layer of Blushing Bride, *Trix, distress the edges a bit to add a bit of dimension.  I thought the Blushing Bride tag needed a little something so I embossed it with the Raindrops Embossing Folder, #160554.

*  Stamp the bunny scene using the wood mount Bunny Hugs stamp set with Memento Black Ink.  Colour the basket with Highland Heather Stampin' Blends Marker, #154887.  The eggs and flowers are coloured with a Blender Pen, #102845 by picking up ink from the Blushing Bride, Highland Heather and Pear Pizzaz ink pad.  (I stamped the flowers with Pear Pizzazz).  Use a Sponge Dauber, #133773 to apply a bit of blushing bride ink to the bunny's belly.

*  Die cut the bunny scene with a Scalloped Contour Die, #155560 and adhere to the card with dimensionals.  Add the stamped Easter greeting with dimensionals and embellish with Rhinestone Basic Jewels coloured with Highland Heather Stampin' Blends Marker.

Good Feelings Stamp Set with Chic Dies for #jai642

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by Kim's sketch challenge over @ Just Add Ink Challenge.  Please click the hyperlink or the image below to visit the challenge blog.

I switched it up a bit and created a row of flowers using the Chic Dies, #158815 in place of the vertical rectangle on the sketch.  The Texture Chic Specialty DSP, has beautiful coordinating patterns in you'd prefer to add DSP for the vertical rectangle.

***  The Trix  ***

*  Use the paper - the gorgeous patterns in this dsp pack - some with gold - need :) to be used for the full front of the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card.  Adhere the dsp to a Thick Basic White card base.

*  Die cut the flowers from the Chic Dies with Petal Pink and Basic White cardstock.  Adhere together with glue, *Trix  just in the centre so the edges of the flowers have dimension.

*  Stamp the sentiment from the Good Feelings stamp set, #158737 with Petal Pink ink on a 1 3/4" x 2" piece of Basic White cardstock then adhere to a piece of 1 1/4" x 1 5/8" piece of Petal Pink cardstock.

Adhere the sentiment layer with dimensionals and embellish with Petal Pink Polished Dots & White Classic Matte Dots.

***  The Trix  ***

*  Layer up the colours - experiment with various shades of pink for this two step stamp set.  I used Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, (stamped off once) with a Polished Pink bottle.  *Trix, distress the edges of the 3 1/2" x 3" piece of Basic White to repeat the distressing on the Petal Pink layer.
