Floral Background Wood Mount Stamp for Retro #200

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Congratulations to the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog on their 200th Challenge! That's 200 amazing inspiration challenges using old retired stamps!  Please click the hyperlink or the image below to visit their blog and enjoy the inspiration - then go haul out a favourite stamp set from your stash and get creating with this super versatile sketch!

*I hope my card fits the sketch - in my mind I see the three layers as the base, scalloped edge and Soft Sea Foam Ribbon :)

Today's card uses the Floral Background Wood Mount Stamp from 2005.  I've added in a little surprise stamp on the inside, can you guess where it's from?  Hint it's in the same stamp set as the sentiment.

***  The Trix  ***

*  Use the sketch to inspire a fun fold - Score a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Smoky Slate cardstock at 5 1/2" and 9 3/4"  then create a scalloped edge on the flap with the Scalloped Contour Dies, #155560

*  Create your own dsp with a background stamp -  stamp the Floral stamp with Soft Sea Foam ink on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Basic White cardstock, then cut to 4" x 4" and adhere to the card base.

*  Tie the ribbon around the flap and then adhere to the card base.  Stamp the sentiment and add to the ribbon.  *Trix, hide a glue dot under the bow to keep it in place, and under the sentiment to keep it from floating.

*  Create the insert with a 3 1/2" x 5" piece of stamped cardstock and add on a 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" of Basic White - here's the little surprise - the inside flower is from the *Free* Beautifully Happy Stamp Set, #160804 (available during Sale-a-bration 2023)
