Butterflies & Blooms for #AYSI292 and #GDP382 Challenges

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by the Raindrops On Roses Challenge over @ As You See It Challenge.  My favourite thing about spring is Butterflies & Blooms, I always look for the plants bursting forth in the garden and the butterflies that appear!  The terrific sketch over @ Global Design Project inspired the placement of the butterflies with the blended colours behind it.  Please click the hyperlinks to visit the blog challenges, and enjoy the inspiration!

***  The Trix  ***

*  Use DSP for the detailed butterfly die cut image - The Brilliant Wings Dies, #155523 come with two coordinating die cut shapes.   Use coordinating cardstock for the solid image and the Fancy Flora DSP, #160413 for the detailed die cut image.   Adhere together with glue.  *Trix* dot the glue in the centre of the detailed die cut, allow to dry a bit until tacky and then adhere to the solid cardstock die cut so the glue doesn't smoosh out.

*  Highlight the butterflies  -  Blend colours from the coordinating DSP onto a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" layer of Basic White cardstock.  I followed the sketch to create the swirls of Orchid Oasis, Balmy Blue & Pool Party before embossing with the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder, #159175

*  Adhere the butterflies with glue to the embossed layer, stamp the sentiment from the Something Fancy Stamp set, #160416 with Orchid Oasis ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock, and adhere to the embossed layer with dimensionals.  Embellish with Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels, #158987 then adhere the layer to the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Basic White Thick card base.
