I love to create a few all occasion cards at the beginning of the year. This one is a baby card or a Welcome Little One card using the Warm Welcome Bundle, #160704 from the new January - April 2023 Mini Catalogue.
*** The Trix ***
* Colour Blocking - create a bold band of colour with scraps of cardstock, it doesn't matter if they're the same size.
* Proportion - I tried to match the sizes of scraps to the size of the presents, and add the sentiment near the bottom, the widest part, hoping for some balance and visual continuity.
* Repeat the colours - Stamp the presents from the Warm Welcome Stamp set, #160698 with Memento Black ink, then colour with Stampin' Blends Markers. Stamp the sentiment with Orchid Oasis. Colour Rhinestone Basic Jewels, #144220 with the Stampin' Blends Markers. Add a piece of Parakeet Party Baker's Twine, #159195
* Create a focal image base with a scalloped die from the Scalloped Contours Dies, #155560. I used the Warm Welcome Dies, #160703 to die cut the presents and popped them up with dimensionals.
