 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today I have two new products to show you, the Fancy Flora 6 x 6 DSP, #160413 will be available January 5th 2023 from the new January - April 2023 Mini Catalogue.  The stamp set is called Beautifully Happy, it's free with a $120 order during Sale-a-bration, starting January 5th - February 28th 2023.  Please find the videos below showcasing these products.

You can choose endless colour combinations with this two step stamp set, I used Soft Succulent & Daffodil Delight.  I've combined it with the fabulous 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper pack, which also had endless colour combinations.  There's 12 colours used in the 12 double sided designs of this paper pack, you get 4 each of the different patterns for a total of 48 sheets, of awesome possibilities!

***  The Trix  ***

*  #simplestamping - the December challenge at Stampin' Up!® is to create a SIP cards, (use Stamps, Paper & Ink) and add in some DSP.  This card has a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Soft Sea Foam card base, with a strip of 3 x 5 3/8" DSP adhered with glue.

*  Stamp the image on a 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of Basic White, with Evening Evergreen for the outline, then fill in with Soft Succulent & Daffodil Delight.  The two step stamp set does all the works, there's no *Trix* to creating the colour variation, it simply stamps that way!  Beautiful eh!

*  No extra embellishments were added to this card because I'm playing along with the challenge, but I think matte dots or coloured gems would be lovely.  It's a super easy card to 'Step Up' if you have other supplies.

Abstract Beauty DSP & Country Bouquet Punch for #fancyfridaychallenge

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by the new Country Bouquet Punch, #160382 from my demonstrator preorder and some favourite DSP, currently available on the Clearance Rack, yes it's in my stash & yes I've been hoarding it!  So I'm playing along with the @StampinFancyFriday #useyourstash challenge.

This cute little heart punch will be available January 5th 2023 from the January to June 2023 Mini Catalogue.

***  The Trix  ***

*  Keep the layout simple - two hearts, die cut thanks, embellish with ribbon or twine and gems.  Try switching up the card base to create a 7 x 3 1/2" slimline card.

*  I love the whimsy of this heart punch, it seems to go with the whimsy of the Abstract Beauty paper, just mix it up with the cardstock colours from the DSP.  I added a layer of cardstock embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, #154317 on the pink cards.

***  Click here to shop and please remember to use the monthly Host Code, found on the right sidebar of the blog, when your order is between $60 - $135 to receive a little thank you from me.

Brightest Glow Stamp Set & Wonderful Snowflakes for #CASColours&Sketches

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by a Christmas gift I received and the 500th Challenge over @ CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge.  How amazing is that - 500 challenges of inspiration - thank you Design Team!  The #500 challenge inspires us to choose a sketch from 2022 and make it seasonal, neat eh!  Please click the hyperlink to visit the blog post and then scroll back to see all the sketches they've provided this past year and then go create a card - just for fun!

Ok, back to the gift, we have amazing wines here in the Niagara Region Ontario Canada, and one of my faves is @ Flat Rock Cellars.  This colours of this fun fancied up wine bottle, had me grabbing my swatchbook of cardstock, what do you think, is the hat and scarf Basic Gray & Pool Party or Basic Gray & Coastal Cabana?

***  The Trix  ***

*  Create a tiny border with a favourite wintry colour - for me it's Pool Party, and its literally a smidge - a 1/16th of an inch - bigger than my retired favourite, Peaceful Place Specialty DSP, 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" layer.

*  Folow the sketch - while I usually group my sentiments with the focal image of the card, this sketch challenged me to place the sentiment in the bottom left corner.  Emboss  'Happy New Year' from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set, #159542 with White Embossing Powder, #155554 to help it stand out from the DSP layer.

*  Keep it simple - use the neat Wonderful Snowflakes, #156340 embellishments for a simple focal point.

***  Click here to shop and please remember to use the monthly Host Code, found on the sidebar of this blog post, when you shopping cart is between $60 - $135 to receive a little thank you gift from me.

***  If your shopping cart is over $135 you have the option to click here to Join Stampin' Up!® and choose $165 worth of product but pay $135 with no tax or shipping cost.   - Or - Claim your Stampin' Rewards when your order is $200 or greater.

Dainty Flowers Free SAB Paper for #gdp374

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today is a great day!  My Mini Catalogue & Sale-a-bration Preorder arrived this morning, just after I looked at the Sketch Challenge over @ Global Design Project.  When I saw the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper it all came together in my head!  I love it when ideas flows like that.

The Dainty flowers Designer Series Paper is Free during Sale-a-bration.  One of the perks of being a demonstrator is preordering from new catalogues.  Since the January to June 2023 Mini Catalogue coincides with Sale-a-bration, I'm also earning free stuff with my preorder :)

There's so much potential with this paper!  I think I'll create a few more cards and mix it up a bit by adding a die cut butterfly instead of the dragonfly for my customer cards this month.

***  The Trix  ***

*  #Love It Chop It, use this fabulous free paper to cover the full 7 x 3 1/2" Thick Basic White card front.  Use a square from the Stylish Shapes Dies, #159183 create a 2 3/4" x 3 1/4" photo frame, and stamp a sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set, #158763.

*  Stamp and punch out the dragonfly using the Dragonfly Garden stamp set, #154411 and coordinating Dragonflies Punch, #154240.  I used Gorgeous Grape ink and blended the colour a bit with Wink Of Stella® Clear Glitter Brush, #141897.  Embellish with gems of choice, there's some great ones on the Clearance Rack of my online store.

***  Click here to shop and please remember to use the Host Code, found on the right sidebar of this blog post, when your order is $60 - $135 to receive a little thank you from me.

Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder for #fms566 & #gdp373

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by the Sketch Challenge over @ Freshly Made Sketches and the Color Challenge over @ Global Design Project, Bermuda Bay, Tahitian Tide & Blushing Bride.   Please click the hyperlinks to visit the blogs and enjoy the inspiration!

As I was playing with the supplies to create the card I thought of two more ideas, so I decided to make all three to show how you can use the same products, same colour combo and same sketch to create three different cards.  Which is your favourite?

The sentiment is from the Go To Greetings stamp set, #158763 and the fabulous Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder & die set, #157641 currently available from the Clearance Rack!

***  The Trix  ***

*  The embossing folder is terrific because it comes with a matching die, and two sizes of hearts.  Die cut first, then emboss the centre of the heart.  On the third card I used Sponge Daubers, # 133773 to add a little more colour with the matching ink.

*  Heat emboss the sentiment with White Embossing Powder, #155554 and die cut the label from the same folder and die set.

*  The pinky/blue sparkle of the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, #158130 highlight & coordinate beautifully with the Bermuda Bay, Tahitian Tide & Blushing Bride colours.  I placed them similar to the leaf placement of the sketch.

*  The above card uses the smaller heart die, without embossing.  The Basic White layer is a 1/2" smaller and popped up on dimensionals.

North Pole Sacks for table favours

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Do you make table favours for your Christmas Table?  I love having cute little bags on hand to fill with whatever.  The North Pole Sacks, #162416 were an add on to a Paper Pumpkin Kit, they're still available for $5.50 and today is Free Shipping!

I love the neutral base, with simple snowflakes, they can be used with a festive theme as I've done here, you can add your own stamp set, label and colour combo to match your tablescape,  but they'd be great throughout the winter too.

***  The Trix ***

*  Use a favourite colour combo.  Stamp the Christmas Season Stamp Set, #156293 with Shaded Spruce & Parakeet Party ink then die cut with the Seasonal Labels Dies, #156299.  The sentiment is stamped with Polished Pink from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set, #160888

*  Adhere a leaf and loop of Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon, #155714 to the back of the label before attaching to the bag.  Pop up the leaf with dimensionals.  And Embellish with Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, #158130

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

A few months back at my Christmas in July Customer Appreciation event we made a card with Shimmery White cardstock.  I decided to mix it up, change the colours slightly, fussy cut the sentiment and add an extra pup!

Do you ever revisit a card you love and change it up to create a slightly different version.  Its amazing how many variations you can create from one stamp set, with or without dies simply by changing the colours and sentiment.

***  The Trix  ***

* Brush the Shimmery White cardstock, #101910 with with a Water Painter, #151298 before adding the Parakeet Party coloured trees.  I used the Trees for Sale Stamp Set, #159785.  Then add in the Shaded Spruce detailed trees.  The colour bleeds slightly on the Shimmery White and gives a neat effect.

*  Keep the sentiment in the centre of the card, but change the colour to Polished Pink.  Cut the sentiment strip apart, add in a second die cut image and embellish with your favourite gems.  I used retired  2021 - 2023™ In Color Jewels to match the Polished Pink sentiment.

***  Click here to shop and please remember to use the monthly Host Code (found on the right sidebar of this blog post) when your order is between $60 - $135 to receive a little thank you gift from me.

A Simple Watercolour for #rrcb197 & #tgifc397

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by a couple of challenges and a couple of old favourite stamp sets.  I loved the greenery in the inspiration photo over @ Retro Rubber Challenge Blog and the Colour Challenge over @ TGIF Challenges.  Use Shaded spruce, Granny Apple Green & Real Red, a super colour combo that's bright and fresh for Christmas!  Please click the hyperlinks to visit their blog posts and enjoy the inspiration!

The retired Watercolor Christmas inspired me to watercolour the leaves of the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set, the colours are awesome together.  Both of these stamp sets were available  between 2018 & 2020 I think?  Currently the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack, #150647 is available in the Clearance Rack section of my online store.  It matches the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set.

***  The Trix ***

*  Stamp the holly leaves with Shaded Spruce ink on Basic White cardstock.  *Trix, lightly watercolour with Water Painters, #151298 picking up Granny Apple Green ink from the lid of the ink pad.  Just dab the colour and water on the centre of the leaf and let it bleed slightly.  We're not using Thick Cardstock or Watercolour Paper here so dab lightly and let the colours blend naturally.

*  Lightly colour the berries with a Real Red Stampin' Blend Marker.  Swirl the colour on the berries and take care not to blend the Real Red with the Shaded Spruce outline.

*  Stamp the sentiment and die cut the circle with the Stylish Shapes Dies, #159183, adhere with dimensionals.  Stamp another holly leaf, colour, fussy cut out and overlap it on the die cut circle using dimensionals under the leaves only.   Embellish with Red Rhinestones Basic Jewels, #146294

A Chalkboard Christmas Greeting for 2 Challenges

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by two challenges, the Christmas Chalkboard over @ Fusion Card Challenge and the Just Add Ink Choose Two Challenge!   I love the photo Fusion has shared as inspiration and I wanted to try to recreate it with some of my favourite stamp sets.  My two choices for #jai632 are deer and trees - however I've added sparkle but it's super hard to capture in the photo of my card.   Please click the hyperlinks to visit the blog challenges and enjoy the inspiration!

I also created this card for a special couple who love nature and have a silver and white theme going this Christmas, trust me the silver glimmer shows up beautifully in person :)

***  The Trix  ***

*  I found the Stamparatus helpful for this card, but I also used my little 'A' block for the snowflakes and the fox, as well as the 'C' block for the snow by the polar bear.

*  Use a blending brush to lightly add White Craft Ink, #147277 to the 4" x 5 1/4" inch piece of Basic Black cardstock to give a brushed chalkboard look to the cardstock.

*  Use your favourite stamp sets, and line up the images on the Stamparatus.  I used the Brightest Glow Stamp Set, #159542 & three of my faves from last year, now retired, Arctic Bears, Peaceful Cabin & Nature's Beauty.  Stamp with White Craft Ink and allow to dry.  (Craft Ink is 'pigment ink' it has a longer 'open' time)

*  Add a tiny  Basic White cardstock layer (a 1/16" of an inch) as a border for the stamped layer before adhering to the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Basic Black card base.

*  Lightly brush on Wink Of Stella® Clear Glitter, #141897 to select areas of the stamped image.  The look I was going for was moonlight shining down and highlighting the sparkle of snow on the trees, the snow covered ground, the top of the deer's back etc.

***  Click here to shop and please remember to use the monthly Host Code (found on the sidebar of this post)  when your shopping cart is between $60 - $135 to receive a little thank you gift from me.

***  Here's another example of the Chalkboard Technique, this one using Watercolor Pencils to add pops of colour instead of the Wink Of Stella®  Click here for that blog post.

Go to Greetings with the Chic Dies for #CASColurs&Sketches

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's fun little 4 x 4 note card is inspired by Cécile's Double Challenge #498 over @ CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge.  Please click the hyperlink to visit this fun challenge and enjoy the inspiration!

The double challenge is to use Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky & Always Artichoke with the fun sketch challenge below.  If you don't' have these colours try Petal Pink, Pool Party & Mossy Meadow.

***  The Trix ***

*  Plan where you want the flowers to go and stamp the sentiment from the Go To Greetings Stamp Set, #158763 just below the band of flowers.

*  Dab a bit of glue on the flower shapes from the Chic Dies, #158815 and allow to dry briefly so the glue doesn't seep out when you adhere the flowers to the card base.

*  Darken a second Pink Pirouette cardstock flower with a Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blends Marker and adhere just one edge of the flower to the first flower to give the flowers depth and dimension.

*  Double up the glue dots on the two Always Artichoke flowers for dimension and lift.

A Paper Pumpkin Alternative for #FMS564

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by Cécile's sketch over @ Freshly Made Sketches #564 & the Reindeer from the November Paper Pumpkin Kit.   Please click the hyperlink to visit the #FMS564 blog post and enjoy the beautiful interpretations of Cécile's sketch.

I really love this reindeer stamp, it stamps beautifully clear, there's words, dots and the solid image all on one photopolymer stamp, the image is sharp and clean!

***  The Trix ***

*  Choose a subtle embossing folder to keep the card clean & simple as per the sketch.  I chose to add a slight bit of texture with a retired embossing folder.  I think keeping the cardstock layer and the card base the same Basic White, while adding a bit of texture, helps gives dimension without adding visual clutter.

*  The snowflakes are from a retired fave, Snowfall Thinlits Dies, I chose this die set because I wanted three different sized snowflakes, initially I was going to use the Chic Dies #158815.  ***Trix, dab a bit of glue in the centre of the snowflake only, allow to dry slightly before adhering to the card, then flick up the edge of the snowflakes.
