Retired Big On Christmas Stamp Set for #rrcb195 & #pp617

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by the Retro Rubber Challenge - Ombré & Jaydee's Color Challenge over @ the Paper Players.  Please click on the hyperlinks to visit their blogs.  I've used the Retro wood stamp set called Big On Christmas, Vintage 2004 I think :)  This card could easily be re created with the current Jingle Jingle Jingle Stamp Set, #153438.

Stampin' Up!® blending brushes are my go for an Ombré technique.  I used Balmy Blue, Pacific Point & Night Of Navy.  The image is silver embossed with Silver Foil, #156457 to frame the ombré layer.

***  The Trix ***

*  Use Masking Paper, #155480 to mask off the snowman before applying colour to the Basic White cardstock layer.  Simply stamp the image on the paper, peel off the backing and apply.  The real ***Trix here is to fussy cut the snowman a smidge smaller than the stamp so it fits within the embossing.

*  Colour in the letters with Stampin' Blends Markers, the embossing holds the colour within the lines, so cool eh!

*  Add an extra layer of snow with the Wintry3D Embossing Folder, #155433  ***Trix, this embossing folder is narrower than the 4 1/4 card base but that's okay, simply emboss two pieces and adhere to the card base because the Ombré layer measures 3 x 5 1/2 so it covers the seam.

*  And you all know the ***Trix of saving your precious foil paper right?  Of course you do, just punch out an image or die cut an image from the centre of the foil before adhering the cardstock layer :)
