Still Night for Two Challenges

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by two challenges, the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #187 over at the Retro Rubber Challenge and the Festive Friday Challenge #FF0114 .  Here's the scoop - I chose bird, embossing and green on the Tic Tac Toe board & owl, woodland, texture and brown from the Inspo list.  Please click the hyperlinks to visit the blog posts and enjoy the inspiration!

Assembly & Trix:

*  The owl comes from the retired stamp set called Still Life, from a few years back.  She's stamped with Saddle Brown StazOn®  #151508 on Shimmery White cardstock, #101910 then watercoloured with Soft Suede ink.  The sentiment is stamped with Early Espresso.

*  The branches are from the retired Night Owl Thinlits Dies using the current Kraft Paper, #156325 and watercoloured with Soft Suede ink.  The die plus the two tone green watercoloured embossed layer helps to build texture.  It's hard to capture in a photo, I've added Wink Of Stella to the background too for a little sparkle.

*  Emboss the woodland scene using the new Wintry 3D Embossing Folder, #155433.  ***Trix, cover the Shimmery White cardstock with a wash of water then add Pear Pizzazz ink, allow to dry a bit and add a highlight of Garden Green ink.

*  The card base is the fabulous new Kraft Notecards & Envelopes, #159247.

Happiness Abounds Bundle for #tgifc378

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by the TGIF Challenges Inspiration Challenge #378 - 'Just A Few Of My Favourite Things'   Fun eh!  Well it's no secret watercolouring is a favourite of mine.  I also really love Clean & Simple Cards with a bit o' bling!  So I chose the Colour Challenge #479  from CAS Colours & Sketches for my color palette.  While I wasn't able to participate in the challenge at the time please use the hyperlink to visit their blog.

Please click on either my card or #tgifc378 to visit the challenge, enjoy the inspiration :)

Assembly & Trix:

*  Stamp and emboss the images from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, #159238 with White Embossing Powder on Velum Cardstock, #101856, then die cut with the Blossoming Happiness Dies, #158823.

*  Watercolour the images with So saffron, Blushing Bride & Soft Sea Foam.  ***Trix, with the ink pad closed, squish the lid to add a colour to the lid, when it's open pick up the colour from the lid & add water to dilute the colour as needed using the Water Painters, #151298.

*  The watercolour will stop at the raised emboss edge, allow to dry and add more colour as needed or blend colours as you wish.

*  Adhere the flowers to a 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White cardstock layer.  ***Trix, the velum will naturally curl when watercoloured, adhere the flowers with glue dots in the centre only,  leaving the edges to curl and add dimension to the card.

*  Adhere the card layer to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Thick Basic White card base.  Stamp the sentiment with Soft Sea Foam, add a Bakers Twine bow behind the sentiment and adhere to the sentiment to the card ***Trix, double stack dimensionals on the edge that adheres to the card base only, allow the sentiment layer to simply lie over the flowers.  Embellish with Iridescent Basic Rhinestone Jewels, #158130

Amazing Phrasing for #FMS545

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by Narelle's Sketch at Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #545.  Please click on my card or the #FMS545 image to visit their blog challenge and enjoy the inspiration!

The Amazing Phrasing Stamp Set, #159930 is Free with a $120 purchase during Sale-A-Bration.  These versatile sentiments can be used with stamp sets in your collection or as a feature stamp set as I've done on this card with Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo & Polished Pink inks.

Please click my card to visit the #FMS545 challenge

Assembly & Trix:

***Trix, use the Stamparatus™ :)  Align the word 'amazing' on a 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White cardstock layer, simply position once, stamp, then move the plate up one hinge at a time stamping as you go.  I changed the ink colour each time I stamped, using Flirty Flamingo Melon Mambo & Polished Pink.  Adhere the layer to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Thick Basic White card base.

*  Stamp the 'you are' sentiment in Flirty Flamingo, fussy cut and adhere with dimensionals.

*  Truthfully I just wanted to play with the For Everything Sequins, #159187 in the Annual Catalogue, 3 little containers full of sparkly gems :)  The ***Trix to adhere the various sizes of jewels is to use the Take Your Pick™ #144107 tool.  First chose where you want to gems by picking them up with the putty end of the tool and placing them on the card.  Then put a bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on a scrap piece of cardstock, pick up the gems with the putty end again and dab into the glue, then adhere to the card.

*  Do you see the new product?  It's called Pearlized Enamel Effects, #156310.  I dabbed it on around the gems, I love mixing embellishments!

***  Click here to shop the supplies to create this card.  Please remember to use the monthly Host Code when you order is between $60 - $135  to receive a little gift from me.  July's Host Code is 3YXJPGX.

Amazing Phasing with The Puffins for #pp600

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by Ann's Clean & Simple Challenge - Kards for Kids - over at the Paper Players.  This is challenge #600, can you believe it!  The Design Team has inpired us with 600 challenges over the years - wow - thank you design team!

Please click on either my card or the #PP600 image to visit their blog, get inspired, then go make a card!  :)

Click my card to visit the #PP600 Challenge

Assembly & Trix:

*  I love this Silver & Gold Designer Series Paper, #159941 available for Free with a $60 purchase during Sale-A-Bration - a full 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card front on a Thick Basic White card base.

*  Stamp the puffin with Memento Ink and colour with blends before cutting out with a Stylish Shapes Die, #159183  I used Calypso Coral & Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo and a touch of Wink Of Stella for the candle.

*  Amazing Phrasing, #159930 is another Free Stamp Set, (with a $120 purchase) it's a terrific mix of fonts and sentiments that can be added to many stamp sets.  Stamped in Memento Ink and cut out, adhere with dimensionals.

*The Party Puffin, #155054 just needed a little extra something I thought, so I added a Flirty Flamingo scalloped circle from the Layering Circle Dies, #151770

*  The only ***Trix with this card is to keep it simple, a fun and happy 'kard for a kid'  Sometimes clean and simple cards can be hard to create, remember less is more :)   Use minimal layers & embellishments & create lots of white space.

*Can you find the addition of the Pearlized Enamel Effects, #156310?  a little ***Trix to keep a card simple and uncluttered - add an embellishment  in the same colour as the background, for just a hint of glimmer, shine & interest.

***  Click here to shop the supplies to create this card.  Please remember to use the monthly Host code when your shopping cart is between $60 - $135 to receive a little thank you for me.  July's Host Code is 3YXJAPGX

The Tree Lot for #GDP352 & #tgifc377

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by two challenges, use the hyperlinks to visit them both!  Case The Designer #352 Challenge @ Global Design Project and the Christmas In July #377 Challenge @ TGIFChallenges

Currently I'm creating cards for my Customer Appreciation Workshop this Friday,  this card is another example of the fabulous Trees for Sale Stamp Set, #159785 with coordinating Tree Lot Dies, #159938 available Free with a $120 purchase during Sale-A-Bration.  And, I think the little dog in this set looks just like our new puppy Tallulah, she loves to run, her ears are flapping and her tail is always in the air.

Assembly & Trix:

*  Susan Wong's angular layout on her card is terrific, with images at the top left and bottom right with white space in the middle.  I tried to stamp the tree lot scene in a similar way using Parakeet Party & Garden Green for the trees & Early Espresso for the lights and sign.

*  Die cut Tallulah and adhere to the card with glue.

*  Stamp the sentiment with Sweet Sorbet ink, fussy cut out and adhere with Foam Adhesive Strips, #141825  ***Trix, attach the White Bakers Twine, #155475 with a glue dot to the card base first, the sentiment strip hides the glue dot and the twine gives dimension.

***Trix, embellish with a few different gems, Elegant Faceted Gems, #152464 enhance the string of lights,  Classic Matte Dots, #158146 hopefully give the impression of snow falling, & Festive Pearls, #159963 pretty it up with a pop of colour.

***  Click here to shop the supplies to create this card.  Please remember to use the monthly Host Code when your order is between $60 - $135  to receive a little gift from me.  July's Host code is 3YXJAPGX

Stylish Sketchs for #JAI612

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is created with a Free Sale-A-bration stamp set called Stylish Sketches.  Click Just Add Ink Challenge to see the 'Choose Two' theme challenge that inspired my card.  I chose Fur & Stiches.

Please click on my card to visit the #jai612 challenge and enjoy some more creative inspiration.

Assembly & Trix:

*  Lately we' have a red fox around our yard, healthy & young looking.  We think it may be hunting a groundhog or chipmunks.  It nimbly pounces, like a cat, into our neighbours flower bed.  So the fox on my card is watercoloured with Cajun Craze, it's as close to the colour as I could find.  Stamp the image with StazOn® Ink #101406 first, then watercolour with Cajun Craze, Pear Pizzaz & Petal Pink.

*  The fun Petal Pink and Gold polka Dot paper is from the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper, #158808.  Maybe pink DSP is not a first thought for using with a fox  :)   but I'm challenging myself to mix and match patterns, images and colours.  Adhere the 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 dsp to the Petal Pink 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base.

*  Die cut a 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 piece of Basic White & Cajun Craze cardstock with the edge image from the Blossoming Happiness Dies, #158823.  ***Trix thread together with Linen Thread, #104199 using a blanket stitch.  I used a darning needle simply to be quick, but you could wind the thread through, the holes from the die are big enough.

*  Also adhere the cardstock layers with glue, the thread is just decorative.   Adhere to a 4 3/8 x 2 7/8 piece of Petal Pink cardstock, then adhere to the card base with dimensionals.

*  Stamp the sentiment from the Campology Stamp Set, #152553, cut out and adhere to the card base with glue, embellish with Festive Pearls, #159963

Quiet Meadow with the Prints for #FMS544

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by Karren's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  Please visit their blog post by clicking on either my card or their image and soak in the inspiration!

Karren said she has a fear of angled panels on cards and I'm right there with her :)  Thank you Karren for pushing me out of my comfort zone.  TGIF Challenges offered a Tone on Tone Technique Challenge a bit ago, I couldn't play at the time, til now :)  Thanks #tgif374 for the inspiration.

Can you find the simple *Trix on this card?  I've added 3 simple 'extras' & I encourage you to play with your supplies to enhance this simple & versatile sketch!

Click my card to visit the #fms544 challenge

Assembly & Trix:

*  I love the Pretty Prints DSP, #159254 so it is the entire card front at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 on a Calypso Coral card base.

*  Check out the 2 1/4 x 3 Calypso Coral layer - can you see the ***Trix? - Add a bit of White Craft Stampin' Ink, #147277 with a blending brush - does it repeat the soft feel of the DSP?

*  Check out the die cut from Meadow Dies, #155852 - what's the ***Trix? - Watercolour it with a Calypso Coral wash on Shimmery White cardstock - dab - flick - drop water droplets - play to create a variation of colour on the die cut.

*  The band is the White 3/4 " Frayed Ribbon, #158138  - what's the ***Trix?  - Fray the ribbon at the end - a subtle change that flows with the airiness of the DSP.

*  The stamped image is from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set, #155082.  The embellishments are retired Polished Dots but the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, #158130 would work beautifully too.

Pretty Pop-Ups Die for #GDP350 & Demonstrator Training Blog Hop July 2022

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Welcome to the Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Blog Hop!  We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration.  We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.

Today's card sketch was inspired by the Global Design Project #350  & what a lovely surprise - thank you Design Team for giving my card a Special Mention this week! :)

Assembly & Trix:

*  Die cut Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, #149612 using the Pretty Pop-Ups Dies.  ***Trix, pass the die through the machine a few times to crease the thick watercolor paper.  This die is super neat because some sections will cut out and others will impress the image, allowing you to 'pop up' some of the image later.

***Trix, the die depresses the thick watercolour paper creating a bit of a border, around the outside edge of the die.  Use this as a guide to apply a base of water using Water Painters, #151298

*  Dab or wash on colour - Here's the question - Which card do you prefer, blue or pink?  The blue card uses Tahitian Tide & Parakeet Party, (2022-2024 In Color).  The pink one uses Polished Pink & Pale Papaya, (2021-2023 In Color)

*  Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 watercolour layer to a Very Vanilla 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Stamp the sentiment using the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, #159238 and embellish with 2022-2024 In Color™ Matter Decorative Dots, 159186 or Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon, #155672

Ending wording
