Sending Smiles Bundle for #GDP349 & #PP597

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by 2 challenges the Colour Challenge at Global Design Project & Joanne's Sketch Challenge over at the Paper Players.  The #GDP349 colour combo is a fave -  Tahitian Tide - with Parakeet Party & Daffodil Delight - Fun Fresh and happy colours!  I loved the bold linear look of Joanne's sketch, so I decided to pretty it up with non linear flowing flowers :)

And before I forget, Thank you Global Design Project for the Special Mention last week.  If you missed my sailboat card, please click here to check it out   I always play the challenges for fun and inspiration, but the wins are a special little treat of recognition - thanks so much!  I hope my cards and the links to the challenges inspire you to create :)

Assembly & Trix:

*  There's not many *Trix to this card, I chose to use one stamp set and die set to keep it simple.  The sentiments in the Sending Smiles Stamp Set, #158701 are lovely.  The bundle is called Sending Smiles Bundle #158707 (stamp set & dies together to save 10%)

*  Stamp the flowers randomly on the 3 1.4 x 4 1/2 Basic White cardstock layer and adhere to a Tahitian Tide layer a 16th of an inch bigger, then adhere to the Parakeet Party 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base.

*  Stamp a 1 3/4 x 5 1/2 piece of vellum with little flowers from the set.  ***Trix use 1st generation and 2nd generation stamping to vary he depth of Tahitian Tide ink on the vellum layer.  Use the heat tool to dry the ink quickly.

*  Die cut the 'Sending' in Daffodil Delight.   Die cut the 'Sending' border die from vellum - Truth - initially I thought maybe the 'Sending' should be in Tahitian Tide, then I decided on Daffodil delight, so I stacked them together on the card for an extra bit of height and dimension.

***Trix adhere the 'Sending' die cut with tiny bits of glue to the velum layer, then adhere the velum layer to the card hiding the glue under the letters.

*  Stamp the sentiment and die cut out.  ***Trix, double die cut the sentiment strip repositioning  the die to fit the words perfectly.  Adhere with dimensionals.

*Embellish with pearls coloured with Daffodil Delight blends marker.

Assembly & Trix:

*  Cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Layering Designs Vellum, #157764 and adhere it to the centre of the Tahitian Tide card base so the adhesive doesn't show.

*  Apply a Tahitian Tide watercolour wash to a 3 3/4 x 4 1/2 piece of Thick Basic White cardstock and adhere to a Tahitian Tide layer a smidge bigger.

*   Stamp the sailboat from the Let's Set Sail Stamp Set, #157900 using Pumpkin Pie, Parakeet Party & Sweet Sorbet ink then punch out with the Sailboat Builder Punch, #157906.  * Buy them together in the Let's Set Sail Bundle, #157906 & save 10%

Hippest Hippos & Texture Chic for #PP596

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by Jaydee's Clean-And-Simple Challenge over at The Paper Players.  Check out their blog by either clicking on my card or the #PP596 image and enjoy the inspiration.  Sort through your supplies for a fave stamp set and coordinating DSP and give this one a try!

When I opened my demonstrator preorder and saw this Free Sale a-bration stamp set and the Texture Chic Specialty DSP I knew they had to be on a card together!

Click my card to visit #PP596 challenge

Assembly & Trix:

*  I love One Layer Cards - simple and quick!  The ***Trix with this card is to stamp on the card base and cut out a circle from the one layer of DSP.  I used the Stylish Shapes Dies, # 159183 to die cut the circle.

*  Hippest Hippos, #159921 is a Free Stamp Set with a $60 order available July 1st.  I checked out some images and yes Hippos do have pink bellies, which is perfect b/c Petal Pink is in the DSP.  Colour the Hippo image with Stampin' Blends Markers in Smoky Slate, Petal Pink, Mango Melody & Soft Succulent after stamping with Memento Black Ink.

***Trix, create the sentiment you need.  I masked off part of the Awwwww image and added Thanks from the On The Horizon Stamp Set, #157770 retiring June 30th

*  To keep the card clean & simple, but still add a bit of sparkle, my ***Trix is to choose embellishments that match the DSP, these are the retired Artistry Blooms Adhesive Backed Sequins with some current 2021 - 2023 In Color™ Opal Rounds, #159185.  And can you see the tiny bit of Petal Pink I flicked beside the Hippos?  I wanted the circle to blend a bit more with the DSP so I added a touch of colour.

Sending Smiles & Brilliant Wings for #jai608

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by the Colour Challenge #608 over at the Just Add Ink blog.  Please click on either my card or the #jai608 image to visit the challenge blog and enjoy the inspiration.  Then go challenge yourself and make a card with these fab colours!

Click on my card to visit the #jai608 challenge

Assembly & Trix:

*  The ***Trix with this card is to use blending brushes.  I was delighted to see how the colours change on the Very Vanilla 3 1/x x 4 1/2 cardstock layer, the Crushed Curry is almost luminescent, its always hard to get the full effect from a photo.

*  Add droplets of water to the blended layer to dilute the colour in areas and enhance the overall effect of layers of colour.

***Trix, frame the blended layer with 2 colours,  a 1 3/4 x  4 9/16 piece of Pumpkin Pie (its just a smidge bigger) & a 1 7/8 x4 5/8 piece of Crushed Curry.  Glue the blended layer to the Pumpkin Pie first, then glue to the Crushed Curry layer, (this layer is bigger).  Just for a bit of interest :)  before adhering to the Basic Gray 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base.

*  Die cut the Brilliant Wings Dies from Very Vanilla cardstock and adhere with glue.  ***Trix curl the edges of the butterflies a bit with your finger first before adhering.

*  Stamp the sentiment from Sending Smiles Stamp Set, #158701 with Basic Gray ink and adhere to the card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  Embellish with Classic Matte Dots, #158146

June 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alternative for #FMS540

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by Jen M's neat sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  Please click on either my card or the #FMS540 image to visit the challenge and give the sketch a try!  I used the stamps from the June 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Pick Of The Crop, I love the size of the 'Hello' sentiment and the realistic look of the strawberries.

Click my card to visit the #FMS540 Challenge

Assembly & Trix:

*  There's no Trix, wait, yes use the Stamparatus™ to stamp the Hello on the Abstract Beauty Notecards, #158050 to get a nice dark black image.  *FYI the Notecards are retiring at the end of June.  A link to the Last Chance List is at the end of the post.

*  Stamp the strawberries using Memento Black Ink, colour with Sweet Sorbet & Parakeet Party Stampin' Blends Markers & fussy cut out.  Adhere one with glue and the other with dimensionals.

***Trix add a bit of Wink Of Stella to the edge of the berries, like the sunlight might glisten off a fresh picked berry,  Embellish the card with gems & jewels as you wish.

Happy Father's Day

Hello and thanks for visiting!

Happy Father's Day to all the awesome dads out there that have made such a difference in our lives!  I miss my dad everyday and am thankful for all my wonderful memories!

Today's card uses the new Vintage Tools Stamp Set, #159098 created especially for my terrific Father In Law who has helped me create a wood plate shelf, create matching cabinets for our kitchen cabinetry, refinish a sofa and a whole host of other odd jobs throughout the years!  Thank you!

Assembly & Trix:

Honestly, there's no *Trix to this card, what you see is what you get :)  My card uses the retiring Heart & Home DSP, #157928, roughed up a bit on the edges and added to a Basic Gray cardstock layer a smidge bigger than the 3 3/4 x 5 DSP layer.

*  The Tailor Made Tag Dies, #155563 set off the sentiment from the Vintage Tools Stamp Set, #159098  Coloured with Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Markers.

*  Embellish with the new Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots, #159082 & Gray Granite Twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, #155475

Artistically Inked for #FF0111

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today I'm participating in a 'new to me ' challenge. It's the Festive Friday Challenge.  Please click on either my card or the #FF0111 image to visit their blog and join the challenge.  The Festive Friday Design Team provides an 'Inspo List', the challenge is to pick 3 inspirational ideas from the list and create a card.  My 3 choices are slimline, black, white, embossing (I did heat embossing and I hope this fits)  I had hoped to do add some string but it just didn't fit this time.

My card was certainly an evolution, I had a completely different idea in my brain as I started to create, one that involved metallic paper, but alas the new Parakeet Party won out.  There's nothing like black to highlight a new colour!

Click on my card to visit the #FF0111 Challenge

Assembly & Trix:

*  My slimline card measures 8 1/2 x 4, I like this size because there's lots of room to play with a design or create open space, and it fits a standard business envelope or you can easily create your own envelope - yes I must do a YouTube video on this - hummm :)

*  There's really no *Trix to this card, simply die cut two sets of leaves using the Artistic Dies, #155371 and trim a bit off one set.  Then line it up on the card, easy peasy and effective.

*  Heat Emboss the sentiment using white from the Basics Stampin' Emboss™ Powders #155554 and fussy cut cut, then adhere to the card base with dimensionals.

*  Embellish with the 2022 -2024 in Color™ Matte Decorative Dots 159186 & the Matte Black Dots, #154284

*** Click here to shop the supplies to create this card and please remember to use the monthly Host Code when your shopping cart is between $60 - $135 to receive a little thank you gift from me :)   June Host Code HTFBTSKR

Happiness Abounds for #GDP347 & Fusion Challenge

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by two challenges, the Global Design Project Theme of Plants & Leaves, and the gorgeous inspiration photo from Fusion - Wheel Wreath Challenge.  Please click the challenge images to visit the blogs and then go make a card!  :)

Assembly & Trix:

*  I don't have a wreath die so I used the leaves from the Happiness Abounds Stamp set, #159238   ***Trix, stamp and heat emboss on velum, die cut and colour with Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends Markers on the reverse side of the velum.  Adhere together with glue dots.

*  I was inspired by he sparkly lights on the photo so I tried to recreate the sparkle by flicking Wink of Stella to the top of the 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 layer of Basic White cardstock, before adhering to the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Thick Basic White card base.

*  Die cut the 2 3/4 x 4 piece of Basic White with the Stitched Greenery Die, #155451, tuck leaves under the layer and adhere to the card with glue, adhere the velum leaf wreath with glue dots.  Stamp the sentiment with Soft Succulent ink.

Coffee & Friendship for the #jai607 Choose Two Challenge

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

I created today's card for the Choose Two Challenge at Just Add Ink #607   Please click on the hyperlink or my card to visit their blog post and join the challenge.  Use coffee - tea - friendship and create a card.  Enjoy this inspiration!

I love this piece of paper within the Flowering Fields DSP #157670 from the January to June Mini Catalogue, and I can't believe I haven't used it yet, the cloud pattern is gorgeous!  A full sheet would make an excellent scrapbook page.  It's only available 'til June 30th, so if you love it, get it before its gone, the link to all the Last Chance Products is at the end of this post.

Click my card to visit #jai607

Assembly & Trix:

*  This paper is so gorgeous I used the full size, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and adhered it to a Thick Basic White card base.

*  The sentiment is from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set, #154983 stamped with Black Memento Ink and die cut using the Tailor Made Tags Dies, #155563.

*  The coffee cups are from the Nothing's Better Than Stamp Set, #152507 stamped with Memento and coloured with Petal Pink and Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers, then die cut from the Love You More Than Dies, #152698.

***Trix, use lots of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon, #152462 to add to light airy feel, run the ribbon through the hole in the tag and then tie it with a bow.  Pop the tag up on dimensionals.

***Trix, adhere the cups with Mini Stampin' Dimensional to the card base and let them simply overlap on the tag.  Embellish as you wish with Rhinestones.

A Catalogue CASE for the Retro Challenge

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by the fun Retro Rubber Challenge  #184 Theme - Far Out - a celebration of colour from the 70's!  Please click on either my card or the #rrcb184 image to visit the challenge blog and enjoy the inspiration.

The card layout is inspired by page 16 of the New Annual Catalogue and the new Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper, #158808 but the stamp set is from the 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalogue.  I have memories of floral arrangements like this from the 70's, and yes we had milk cans around too.  The challenge was to use at least three 70's inspired colours.  I choose brown, avocado green, burnt orange and a bit of golden orange.

Please click on my card to visit #rrcb184

Assembly & Trix:

*  Stamp the image with Memento Black Ink and colour with Stampin' Blends Markers.  The Stampin' Blends Markers used are Bronze, Old Olive, Crushed Curry & Mango Melody.

*  Adhere the 2 3/8 x 4 1/8 Basic White stamped layer to a Mango Melody layer a smidge bigger.

*  The Texture Chic Specialty DSP measures 4 x 5 1/4 and is adhered to an Old Olive 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base.

*  Stamp the sentiment and cut it out with the tag die from the Meadow Dies, #155852, adhere with dimensionals and embellish with Linen Thread, #104199 and the newly retired Metallic Pearls.

Texture Chic for Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop June 2022

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Blog Hop! We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.

My card was inspired by a great sketch from a Freshly Made Sketches Sketch Challenge.  It's easy to replicate using our fabulous Designer Series Papers.  This card features the terrific Kraft Notecards & Envelopes, # 159247 & Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper, #158808, which coordinates so well with many Stampin' Up!® products.  I hope this card inspires my customers to mix it up, use the sketch with a variety of stamp sets, different sentiments and ink colours.

Assembly & Trix:

*  Adhere a 3 1/4 x 4 3/4 piece of DSP to a cardstock layer a smidge bigger, a 16th of an inch or so, just to pick up a colour within the paper for continuity.  Then adhere to card base.

*  Die cut a flower and leaves from the Summer Shadows Dies, #156618 with Basic White cardstock and Vellum.  ***Trix, lightly dab Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the Basic White flower and leaf, allow the glue to dry slightly, until it becomes clear, then adhere it to the velum layer so the glue doesn't seep out.

***Trix, adhere the leaf to the flower and then adhere both to the card base after letting the glue set up a bit first.  Only glue in a few areas, so the flower and leaf have some dimension and lift off the card.

*  Stamp the sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set, #154983 and adhere with dimensionals.  Embellish with Elegant Faceted Gems, #152464 &/or Brushed Metallic Dots, #156506

Happiness Abounds for 3 Challenges

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by three challenges!  The Stampin' Up! Only Challenges #303 is celebrating Flowers this week, and I love the sweet little bouquet from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set.  The Colour Challenge #473 at CAS Colours & Sketches inspired the colour palette.  The TGIF Challenges  Sketch #372 inspired the layout.  Please click on the hyperlinks and visit the blogs.  There is so much talent here - enjoy the inspiration - and consider leaving a comment for the designers.

Assembly & Trix:

***Trix, colour fine lined stamped images with Blender Pens to colour in tiny areas like these Pear Pizzazz leaves.  Stamp the image with Memento Black Ink and colour the flowers using Blender Pens and ink pads.  Crushed Curry, Gorgeous Grape and Pear Pizzazz after stamping with Memento Black Ink.

***Trix, mask off the extra words from the sentiment, using post it notes, ink up the stamp, peel off the post it notes and stamp 'many thanks' on a 1/2 inch x 4 1/4 inch strip of Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink.

*  The Pear Pizzazz card base is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4  with a 4 x 5 1/4 embossed layer.  I used the recently retired Tasteful Textile 3 D Embossing Folder, but choose any subtle background layer you wish to keep clean lines and uncluttered visual space.  The Basic White layer measures 1 1/2 x 4.
