A Clean & Simple Congrats

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's inspiration comes from LeAnne's Sketch at The Paper Players Challenge #592  & Stampin' Up Only Challenges #302 For The Kids theme - I chose to congratulate a graduate!  Please click the hyperlinks to visit their blog post to enjoy even more inspiration!

Some of you may know I love embellishments, so these fab Brass Butterflies, #158136 are the focal point of the card and thank goodness they've carried over into the new Annual Catty or I'd have to go into hoard shopping mode - Ha!  The Happy & Heartfelt Stamp Set #158005 is retiring, I love the sentiments in this set, so it'll be a keeper in my stash for sure.  I used the retired Meadow Moments Embossing Folder, #153126, choose whichever embossing folder you like for added texture on the all white card.

Assembly & Trix:

*  The only ***Trix to this card is to keep it simple, white & black with a touch of brass and add texture with an embossing folder and ribbon.

*  The embossed strip of Basic White measures 1 1/4 x 5, and is glued to a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Thick Basic White card base.

***Trix attach the White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, #151326 with Stampin' Seal to the back of the card layers, then tie it on the front so it looks like it's floating and loose for some added dimension.

*  Adhere the card layer to the base with dimensionals, and don't scrimp on the dimensionals, so your card doesn't sag in the middle.

A Triple Challenge

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by three challenges, #GDP343 Theme Challenge, #TGIFC368 Sketch Challenge, and the #SUOC301 Birthday Challenge.  Please visit the blogs using the hyperlinks and enjoy the inspiration - then go make a card and express your creativity!  Have fun!

Assembly & Trix:

***Trix, the 3 x 5 Pool Party Layer is embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder, #149643 with a bit of White Craft Ink blended on top.  Then I added flicks of Wink Of Stella, hoping this would look like the sun shining on the flowers and provide a bit of variation to the Pool Party 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base.

*  The narrow strip is the White Frayed Ribbon, #158138

*  Stamp the flowers from Dragonfly Garden, #154411 with Memento Black ink on a 2 x 4 1/2 Basic White cardstock layer and colour with Stampin' Write Markers - Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Orchid Oasis and Gorgeous Grape.

*  The Dragonfly is stamped with Memento Black Ink, coloured with Pool Party Stampijn' Write Marker and topped off with Wink Of Stella.

*  The birthday sentiment is from the Artfully Layered Stamp Set, #157752 available until the end of May 2022.

Embrace Life & Happiness Abounds for #rrcb182

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card was created for the the Retro Rubber 'Flower Power' Challenge.  This fabulous old stamp set called 'Embrace Life' is a fav of mine! from the early 2000's I think.  It's a wood mount stamp set, so an oldie but a goodie.  I've mixed it up with the new Happiness Abounds Stamp Set & Hues Of Happiness Designer Series Paper which looks like a painters canvas to me.  Please click here to visit the Retro Rubber Challenge.

Assembly & Trix

*  Die cut a 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock with the edge die from the Blossoming Happiness Dies, #158823.   The edge die is 5 inches long, so here's the ***Trix, extend the length of the die cut by first die cutting the edge of the cardstock then reposition the die so it 'fits in' to the grooves created from the first run through, and run it through the SCEM a second time.

*  Repeat the above die cut with a 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 piece of Hues Of Happiness DSP, #158822, then adhere both pieces to the the Daffodil Delight card base.

*  Stamp the flower from the Embrace Life stamp set with Memento Black Ink and colour with Melon Mambo Stampin' Blends Markers.  Fussy cut and curl the flower edges with the Bone Folder.  Then adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  ***Trix, use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the last flower for an extra bit of dimension.

*  Stamp the sentiment from the Happiness Abounds stamp set, #159238 with Memento Black Ink,  *I loved how the font of this stamp set coordinated with the line art from the retired Embrace Life flower, perfect coordination!   Adhere with dimensionals and embellish with gems.

Perfectly Penciled DSP & Happiness Abounds Stamp Set

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

I posted today's card on Instagram last evening, and I'm finally getting around to writing a couple of *Trix for creating it.  Yep, thanks Tallulah (new puppy) oh well better late than never.

Click here, Lesley's StampinTrix on Instagram for more inspiration.

My card was inspired by two challenges, the Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge #601  & the Global Design Project Color Challenge #341  & uses two products from the New 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalogue.  Yes, the catty is now live Yay!

Assembly & Trix:

*  Cut a section of pattern from the Perfectly Penciled DSP, #159244 5 1/4 x 4.  Die cut a section of flowers using the Layering Circles Dies, #151770.  Colour with Stampin' Blends Markers in Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral & Pool Party.

***Trix, adhere Foam Adhesive Strips, #141825 to the Basic Black 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card base, instead of the DSP, then simply lay the DSP on top.  This helps to evenly line up the DSP.  The Foam Adhesive Strips are taller than dimensionals, so they create more of a shadow effect then regular dimensionals.

***Trix, line up the coloured circle so the pattern matches, adhere to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Using 2 different adhesives creates a shadow, and provides dimension, simple little Trix :)

*  The Memento Black ink stamped sentiment is from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, #159238 and framed with a piece of Basic Black cardstock.  This stamp set has a variety of terrific sentiments.  I've used the sentiment 'you are wonderful in every way' on the inside of the card.  Use Matte Black Dots , #154284 for the embellishment and we're done!  :)

***  Click here to shop and please remember to use the monthly Host Code when your order is between $60 - $135 and then I'll send you a little thank you in the mail next month.  May Host Code is ZBHBGA6N
