Hello and thanks for visiting!
Today's card is a little different, it's a single layer #simplestamping card. And, is the result of thinking about three challenges at one time :) Freshly Made Sketches (#FMS521) offers Linda's Sketch with vertical and horizontal images. Just Add Ink, challenges us to create a 'Minimalist' style of card. And the TGIF Challenge provided the colours to work with. Please follow the links below to visit each blog post, and enjoy the inspiration!
Assembly & Trix:
I challenged myself to keep this card super simple, but what I learned is that a 'Minimalis' look means that the images used need to be straight and aligned. The vertical and horizontal lines are created with the Paper Trimmer scoring blade. *** Trix, measure very carefully relative to the overall focal point on the card. The lines are 1/4 of an inch apart. And for a bit of line pattern, the outside lines are 1/4 longer than the inside lines.
* The clear and bold images in the Lovely You stamp set seemed to fit with the minimalist idea to me.
* The Soft Sea Foam, Calypso Coral & Smoky Slate colour palette is not one I would not think of, but I love it! Now that I've been inspired I thinking of more ideas using this palette :)
