Dragonfly Garden & Art Gallery Stamp Sets Bokeh Technique

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card was inspired by three challenges, and a desire to try the Bokeh technique :)  Please click on the image links below and visit each challenge blog.  Enjoy the inspiration and then go and create yourself a card :)

First I was inspired by Fusion - Colour Palette: Birds Challenge, I loved the focal point of circles at the top of the card.  And, I wanted to push myself to try and use the colours together.

Second, the #GDP331 Theme Challenge this week is Dots & Circles.  I was so inspired by the creations from the design team I decided to finally try the Bokeh technique to create the circles.

Third, the Paper Player Challenge #579 theme is Wild about Wildlife.  I'm not sure my card fits with the Clean And Simple Challenge focus this week, but at this point everything was coming together in my brain and I just had to create a Bokeh garden of flowers with a Dragonfly :)

Assembly & Trix:

*  Create a Bokeh technique using Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie & Merry Merlot ink, blending with Blending Brushes to achieve different depths of colour.  *** Click here to see the Pinterest Idea Pin and learn how to create the Bokeh technique.

*  Stamp the dragonfly with Merry Merlot ink and add a bit more ink with blending brushes.

*  Stamp the sentiment with Merry Merlot and cut out.  *** Trix, save 1/4 scrap strips of Basic White cardstock and use for a quick sentiment strip, then just cut to desired length.

*  Adhere the Bokeh piece to piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock a 'smidge' bigger (1/16th of an inch) with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Glue the dragonfly and sentiment to the Bokeh layer and adhere to the Merry Merlot card base with dimensionals.

*** Click here to shop.  And please remember to use the monthly Host Code when your order is between $60 - $135 and then I can send you a little thank you in the mail the following month with your thank you card.  February's Host Code is NZTFGAXF
