Today's card is made for my dad, he would be 89 years old today and I miss him everyday. He loved cars, boats, airplanes, and he loved going for a drive, usually by the lake or the ocean when he could get away and travel. He was a painter and loved watercolouring, so today this card is for him!
This card is a CASE from Rachel Tessman at Stamp Your Art Out. Click here to visit her website. CASE means Copy And Share Everything but I like to think of it as as Copy And 'Selectively Edit'. I edited the size of the gorgeous New Horizon's Designer Series Paper #157768 and added the car from the *Free* Sale-a-bration stamp set, Driving By.
* The DSP is cut at 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, with a Basic Black Cardstock (CS) border, a smidge bigger at 3 13/16 x 3 13/16, then adhered to a Thick Basic White card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
* The 'Thinking Of You' sentiment and the birds are stamped with Memento Black Ink, from the On The Horizon Stamp Set #157770 ***Trix, I added lines from the Nuts & Bolts Stamp Set to give the impression of a road.
* The car is stamped with Memento Black ink and coloured with Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Markers. ***Trix, the shine comes from 'Crystal Effects'! I love how this product adds a high gloss shine to the car *allow this product ample time to dry, it's very thick and needs the extra time to harden naturally.
